Here's something no other boundary coach talks about...
How do you maintain your boundaries when the cultural rules keep changing?
Working across Ibiza, Switzerland, and online with international clients, I've discovered that boundary-setting isn't just personal - it's cultural navigation.
The directness that works in Switzerland might feel harsh in other cultures. The flowing boundaries that feel natural in Ibiza might seem unprofessional in corporate settings.
The Universal Boundary Language I Teach:
🌍 Energy First: Your body language communicates boundaries before words do 🌍 Respectful Firmness: "I appreciate you thinking of me, and I won't be able to..." 🌍 Cultural Bridging: Acknowledge the cultural context while maintaining your boundary
Real Example: A Client working in Japan struggled with after-work socialising expectations. Instead of fighting the culture, we created: "I'm honoured by the invitation. I have a commitment to my wellness routine that I maintain consistently."
Respectful. Firm. Culturally aware.
Your Cross-Cultural Practice: Think of one boundary challenge you face in different environments. How can you honor both the cultural context AND your needs?
Boundaries aren't about being difficult - they're about being clear.
